We follow the ladies & Filipino Melbournian Kaye Anastacio to the Philippines to work with organisation “Gawad Kalinga” – removing entire communities from the slums of Manila into safe housing. The ladies get their hands dirty during a house build & explore the horrific truth of mothers living in makeshift homes built on a garbage dump.
The lovely Kaye Anastacia grew up in the Philippines, and is now living in Melbourne, Australia. Working as a registered nurse, Kaye has a huge heart to see change bought to the poverty with the Philippine slums.
Gawad Kalinga is a Philippine poverty alleviation and nation-building movement known officially as the Gawad Kalinga Community Development Foundation. Its mission is to end poverty for 5 million families by 2024.
