Based on the YMCA Music Video Project the ladies head down the coast to Rye to shine a light on the beauty of people with special needs & create a music video alongside a new singing queen Mareshah Lawton & hiphop artist Chico Johnson.
Mareshah Lawton is a Melbourne based singer / song writer passionate about using her gifts to speak truth and life into the world in the hopes that her listeners seek true freedom. Having been born with bilateral cataracts Mareshah knows all too well what it’s like to be judged whilst living with a disability and connects beautifully with the clients of the YMCA Disability program.
The YMCA is an inclusive community where everyone can achieve their individual goals and develop new skills. Their friendly and welcoming staff are trained to understand support needs of clients and will work with them to build their skills and connect with community.
The Macey Heights YMCA Disability program featured in Behind The Sash are looking to improve and advance their sensory room and garden.
